Mounts and Cooling
Page 3
The mounts took a little thinking. I used the original Samurai mounts without the towers. I had to move the engine forward because the U-Joint took up so much space. I used my aircraft mount building experience to attach the transmission to the engine. I put four 4130 chrome molly tubes from the top and the bottom. Actually the whole thing attaches to the frame just like it did with the old engine in it. Two rubber mounts at the engine and one at the transmission.

The cooling wasn't really an issue unless you were stopped in traffic. I wanted to put an electric fan in front of the engine that would kick on when the engine temp reached 180. But because the engine ended up being too close to the grill, I didn't have room. So I designed a rear forced air system. Here is a picture of it on the ground and then mounted.

It blows a lot of air, it kicks on at about 180 plus I will have a manual switch on the dash.
Here's from the outside.
